Guest Reviews

Take a look at what some of our guests have to say about Red Kite Touring Park…

This is a beautiful very well kept site and we couldn’t have asked for any better. We were on pitch 7 which is one of the larger pitches. All amenities included. We had plenty of room even for our 9 metre RV. There are various walks directly from the site to the local town, from 20 mins-2 hours. The town has everything you need including a few lovely pubs. The view from our pitch was superb, it really is a lovely location. Very quiet and peaceful, we will definitely be back! The staff are super friendly and welcoming, thank you Red Kite for a great stay.

— Great Site!

Without doubt the best Adult only site in the UK. Tranquil, peaceful, immaculately cared for by the team. Right in the heart of Wales and still the WiFi is good enough to stream your favourite TV programmes and games. The pitches are massive with room to spare. The views from most of the pitches is awesome. Customer service is brilliant with every member of the team going the extra mile. Fishing lake and a superb dog walking area complement the site beautifully. Toilets and showers are always spotlessly clean.

— Customer service is brilliant

Fabulous site, probably the best one we have stayed at. From the minute you arrive you are given a warm welcome by Chantelle and Tom, taken directly to your pitch and everything is explained with a lovely smile while fussing our dogs and giving them treats. Nothing is too much trouble and that smile never dims. The toilet block is pristine. Hubby was particularly impressed with the chemical waste point, while I made use of the dog wash area for our pups. As a dog groomer myself I loved the grooming bath complete warm water, free dog shampoo and an excellent power dryer. The dog walk is huge and there is a fenced lake in the middle for the fishermen. The views are stunning and the walks into the forest directly from site were so beautiful. The site is definitely tranquil and I felt so rested and peaceful there. My only disappointment was that we only booked 2 nights, I could have stayed for weeks. We will definitely be back soon. Oh and of course we saw plenty of Kite!   - Caren

Red Kite Camping exceeded all expectations for our New Year getaway! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that cleanliness was a top priority. The amenities were consistently spotless, any time of the day or night, which is a huge plus. A particular highlight was the fantastic dog shower and dryer - what a brilliant addition! It made managing a muddy pooch so much easier. We couldn't have asked for a better stay and can't wait to return. If you're looking for a top-notch, dog-friendly campsite, look no further than Red Kite Camping! We spent New Year here and were incredibly impressed🐶🐾 Thank you again Red kite team !

"We'll keep a welcome in the hillside...." This, without doubt, should be Rich, Tom and Chantelle's song as you arrive in Red Kite, one of the best sites in which we have ever stayed. It's immaculate! All 62 of their gravel pitches are generous in size, the top level are Premium Pitches (numbers 1-10) and fully serviced - we stayed on Pitch 6 and had a great view but as the site is terraced you get a lovely view of the glorious Welsh countryside wherever you are. It's an adult's only site so it's peaceful - and, because there are just 62 pitches, it's intimate and friendly. The site is aptly named as Red Kites soar overhead (well, during the warmer weather for sure!) The charming town of Llanidoes is a pleasant 1 mile walk through the campsite and down a path where there are some lovely cafes and Pubs. From the site itself there is a lovely walk through Pen Yr Ally Woods to Clywedog Damn and Hafren Forest is but a short drive away. A timely email from them in November had enticed us to brave the winter months and come to Red Kite to enjoy their New Year's Eve celebrations: Mulled wine, Hot dogs, Fireworks and Bubble - how could we resist! Despite the relentless rain it was well worth the trip - we had a fire-pit to keep us all warm and their barn was also open in case we needed shelter - thankfully the rain let up for the festivities. A brilliant evening! We've come here in all seasons; Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter and Red Kite never fails to impress us. The facilities are immaculate, they have a great supply of DVD's and books to borrow and you can also stock up on essentials (including wine, beer etc.,!!) at Reception. What a great place! - Ailsa
